In this day retreat Swamini Svatmavidyananda Saraswati will unfold all the ways in which the term ‘yoga’ is used in the Bhagavad Gita and their relevance in everyday life. Yogacharya O’Brian will offer insights on dharmic living including how to access the courage needed to do it.

Swamini Svatmavidyananda Saraswati is a longtime disciple of Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati, one of the greatest masters of Vedanta in contemporary times. She is the acharya of Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam, an ashram based in Atlanta, GA and Eugene, OR. She has been active in the interfaith movement leading and featuring in prominent international dialogues on religious diversity, harmony, peace and mutual respect among various religious traditions. She splits her time between serving as a resident teacher in the Swami Dayananda Ashram, and traveling internationally offering talks and retreats. Swaminiji is the author of books such as Freedom from Distrust and Overcoming Self-Sabotage in Spiritual Growth, and contemplation card set entitled Musings on Oneness. https://arshavg.org/index.html

Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, spiritual director of Center for Spiritual Enlightenment—a Kriya Yoga Meditation Center with headquarters in San Jose, California—is a meditation teacher, retreat leader, poet, and writer who has been teaching Kriya Yoga for more than 40 years. Ordained in 1982 by Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, she has published several books and audio programs about meditation and spiritual living including the bestseller the Jewel of Abundance: Finding Prosperity through the Ancient Wisdom of Yoga, Living the Eternal Way: Spiritual Meaning and Practice in Daily Life, and three volumes of poetry including the award-winning title: The Moon Reminded Me. Yogacharya O’Brian has received several awards for community service, including the Mahatma Gandhi Award for the Promotion of Religious Pluralism from the Hindu American Foundation.
